Exalto is leader in R&D project BloRin
Exalto is the lead partner in BloRin, a Research & Development project, in cooperation with Regalgrid, SEA Favignana, SELIS Lampedusa and University of Palermo for the PO FESR 2014-2020 by Regione Sicilia. The project aims to create a platform for the management of solar Smart Communities capable of encouraging interactions between producers/consumers, the "prosumers", as long as managing electric vehicle charging infrastructures and coordinating exchanges with distributors of electric energy. To this end, a blockchain infrastructure will allow the management of energy exchanges between prosumers while taking into account the balancing needs of the network. On the island of Lampedusa the developed micro-grid will involve a mix of photovoltaic systems and storage systems where demand profile of various users will be managed through Demand Response programs. On the island of Favignana the model will be used for the management of electric vehicle recharging systems in order to enhance their contribution as distributed storage for the purpose of improving the quality of the network operation.
