The project is located in a landfill in Chivasso (TO), Northern Italy.  The biogas is burned in part in a CHP and partly in a torch. Exalto designed a system that recovers the heat of the torch to heat water. The heat will then be used for a leachate drying plant, which is being installed in the facility, that will filter e clean the leachate.

Exalto has presented the request to the Italian authorities for the Energy Efficiency Certificates for 32.000 MWh/year of estimated savings.
